Have a Jolly Christmas

Christmas break is approaching, I can't wait my plans are to be with my boyfriend the majority of the time. This is because we don't go to the same school. I also am ready to get my Christmas gifts for him and my family. For Christmas I want pink ugg boots, trus, and money. I don't have much that I want because I kind of already have anything. I am also going to be doing a lot of cheer related things.

college talk

I college I hope to graduate with at least a 3.5 GPA so I can get into dentist school. I understand it will be difficult but I think I can do it if I focus and take it seriously. I want to go to college for myself and my wellbeing. I don't want to have to depend on my parents of anybody else when i am grown. I want to live a certain lifestyle for my happiness. I am looking for a college that has a large majority of successful dentist graduate from there. I also don't want to be far from home because I need my families support throughout my college journey. To help me make my decisions about college I will take my mom's advice because she has already went through this, and she is also in the medical field. College will help me achieve my goals but I will have a chance to get in dentist school, which is my mail goal! I want to own my own practices and built as I grow older.

Job Hunting

I found a job at lancaster movies. They hire at the age of 16 but they prefer 17 because of the late shifts. However, I work at Braums right now so i feel like that is enough experience for them to strongly consider me. I'm used to working late on a school night, and I know the hard labor of balancing schools and work. The reason I leaned more towards the movies then any other job is because I'm tired of fast food places, and they pay $10.00 a hour. The hard thing about applying online is the manager does not know of you at all, so there is no difference between you and he other person that has applied. So if i was to apply for the movies online I would go there every week and check up on my application until they hire me or tell me the job is already taken.

homeless to harvard

The movie "Homeless to Harvard" is very effective it shows people that anything is possible with just hard work and dedication. It also teaches us to be grateful for everything we have, because there are people that go through worse everyday. My favorite part of the movie is when liz's mom is begging them for the money to buy drugs and liz gives it to her because she would do anything to see her mom smile. I like this part because she was so desperate for sometime of affection and she would do anything to see her mom happy, even if she knows it could hurt her mom in the long run.
Also, liz was very strong to be 15 and she did what she had to do to be successful. She stayed up late everyday doing work, her life basically revolved around school. If I was in her situation I would have done the same thing because growing up in that environment would show me I wouldn't want to spend my whole life like that.

I,m so ready.

Last week I created a budget for college. My budget included food, cable/telephone, electricity, water, and rent bill. I was very surprised to realize how much money I had left over. Everything was alot cheaper because I had a roommate which is my best friend Kia. She was paying half of the rent and I put all the bills on myself because they weren't that expensive. I was also surprised about the scholarships that were provided if qualified from my college. The extra $3,000- $8,000 helped out tremendously.
When it comes to the responsibility I think I could be ready for it. I'm already mature for my age and I know my goal and what I want. Also, with the support from my family and friends I think I will be okay. I'm actually kind of excited to do some things on my own because I feel like that will be a accomplishment for me. Although, I don't mean financially because my parents are going to help me out, I mean keeping everything in order and under control.
In order for me to get ready for this I need to start looking at my options realistically and making a legit plan to succeed. I will look for a job close to my school that pays more than minimum wage. I will also start applying for desired colleges with my best friend just so everything will be on the same page. Lastly, I will put $50 in a bank account for every paycheck I receive right now in order to get started.

Welp my last post was incorrect so my top career choice is Dentistry. I like to be dentist because of all the perks that it brings. First they have a good salary a average dentist makes at least 100,000 a year. I can also become my own boss if I open my own practice (which is what I plan to do). I want to be able to make my own hours and decisions. Also  I will never be out of work because dentist will always be needed no matter what the situation.
