Job Hunting
I found a job at lancaster movies. They hire at the age of 16 but they prefer 17 because of the late shifts. However, I work at Braums right now so i feel like that is enough experience for them to strongly consider me. I'm used to working late on a school night, and I know the hard labor of balancing schools and work. The reason I leaned more towards the movies then any other job is because I'm tired of fast food places, and they pay $10.00 a hour. The hard thing about applying online is the manager does not know of you at all, so there is no difference between you and he other person that has applied. So if i was to apply for the movies online I would go there every week and check up on my application until they hire me or tell me the job is already taken.

Its good that you know how to and you are able to balance school work and a job. Having to do both can be very consuming. Keep up with all your doing.
ReplyDeleteThe movies does seem like a really good job to have. I like your method of getting hired, and in wanting to get a job, I supposed persistence is required. It is also really cool to know that you can manage school and a job.
ReplyDeleteA job at the movies is definitely not a bad idea. For a teenager its a relatively easy job. I agree with you that you have to balance school and work.
ReplyDeletei agree with it not allowing you to stand out, sucks. I am actually going to be applying there soon hmmm.
